Commercial use and billing model
The Cabify Public API is available to any company that registers a business account. No partnership, prior approval, or special commercial agreement is required to start integrating: you can sign up, get sandbox credentials, and start building right away.
Getting access
- Register your company and create a business account.
- Once the business account exists, you get access to the sandbox environment, which mirrors the production API so you can build and validate your entire integration (users/riders, estimates, journeys, webhooks) before going live.
- When your integration is ready, request production credentials to switch to real journeys and real payments.
Billing model (B2B2C)
The Public API follows a B2B2C model: when your platform books a journey for one of your end customers, Cabify charges your business account (using the payment method configured on it), not the end customer directly. If your product needs to charge your own customers for the journeys they take, that charge has to be handled on your side (subscription, in-app wallet, pass-through billing, etc.), independently of how Cabify charges your business account.
This is an important distinction to plan for early if you're building a consumer-facing app on top of Cabify: your platform is Cabify's customer, and your end users are your customers.
